I am so proud to announce that three women who work with me have passed the exam and many hours of coursework to become auditory verbal therapists certified by the AG Bell Academy for Listening and Spoken Language. This is really an admirable achievement. There are just over 300 Cert. AVTs in the world. All three of these amazing women have a passion for working with hearing impaired children and have a love for teaching these children to listen and talk. The certification is achieved beyond the Master's degree earned for Speech-Language Pathology. Oklahoma now has 8 certified AVT specialists and all serve in the same organization committed to changing the world of deafness for children in Oklahoma.
